Hi all,
had my K850i for a few weeks now and turned it on this morning to find I couldnt access any option under the 'Messages' menu except write new message. The error 'Operation Failed' appears when trying to click inbox or sent items for instance. As well as this I cannot recieve or send SMS but I can make phone calls.
I remember something similar happening with some peoples k800i regarding the Operation Failed error.
Anyone else had this problem and fixed it? Or should I just phone o2 and send it back?

turn the phone off for 30 minutes..(you can also take the battery out that time).
(it takes 30 minutes for the memory bank to reboot it self)..i dont know if its work...but give it a try

i'm having the same problem but with the games and application options in the menu,

i have the same problem downloading files, and i have lost all of my games and applications, they were there last night but they gone now, i have only had this phone 3 days not happy  |

yes i had the same problem with my phone.. i couldnt access the applications or games, i got the same error.
i tried a master reset and still nothing.. ive just reported the problem to orange and im recieving a new handset same day delivery 
also when i take a picture the flash goes off but my pictures come out black.. is this also a fault with the flash timing?
hopefully the new one will be ok.
otherwise i think im going to ask for an lg viewty. |

Apps and games are reinstalled when you update your phone's software. Just send it to your provider they'll be the one to do it or use SEUS.

so i tried leaving out the battery etc all night, and still no luck.
I'm on Orange to Alex, but i got my phone from phones4u.
is it possible just to put the games and application back on???
because i don't really want to send it back to orange or phones4u.
EDIT. I downloaded all the applications and games again and tried installing them on to my phone but no luck wouldn't even let it send properly.

There is no problem with flash timing, the sensor affects the flash strength and if you hold your hand over the sonsor you'll get dark pictures. |

I have an unbranded K850 and it refused to restart. The solution in my case was to take it to SE service centre and re-install the firmware. |

Finally sorted the problem, had to do a master reset (including user files). At least I dont have to send it back! |

Hello, ive also had the problem with 'operation failed' coming up. It first happend about 2 weeks after buying the phone, my games and face warp had gone, but i weren't too bothered by that, and now today it has happend again, where i cant access my inbox, sent messages, outbox..etc.. as it keeps coming up 'operation failed'. I read you done a Master Reset..what is one of these?? lol. As i type ive had the phone switched off and battery out for nearly half an hour now, so fingers crossed that will work. |
