PK,
thanks. Good to know that SE has given attention to volume, almost every one seems to ignore that.
Is it all-metallic body ? How does it feel in hand, sturdy, lousy ??
Edit: Have they planned for some good presentation explaining features ? You have right skills for marketing too, you could so easily create lot of hype and hoopla around p5i !!!
Mikele,
may be you are true, but I like good sound quality.

PeterKay
And I'll tell you that if P5 will have this possibility of having something like double keyb. I'd be soooooo happy.
I love this idea, whether it's two slides or one slide two-ways. Looks really crazy! But functional.
So, PeterKay, tell me - SE did a good job, ha? I hope UiQ and Symbian AS WELL!!!!!!!!!! |

Don't twist my arm.
I also agree sound volume is important. My N95 is the loudest phone I've owned to date and I'd hate to give that up. Looks like I won't have to. |

DROOL.
If it is a dual slide like that....how can it possibly be as thin as you say it is?
more importantly how the heck is the build quality going to work.. i think a concept like that would be rattle galore....

Guys don't forget to read the first post, because I keep it updated with the latest info. Before asking a question, please look at the first post.
Thanks!
About the keyboard:QWERTY + numeric can be done with just one slider.Sliding left,QWERTY keyboard.Sliding down,numeric keyboard.How?
Some of the QWERTY buttons - these in the right part have double marking, the first - as QWERTY kb buttons - o,p,k,l,m, and the second - as numeric buttons -1,2,3 and etc,and the second marks are rotated 90 degrees anti-clock-wise,so when you slide-down the keyboard, only these "numeric" buttons appear normally. When showing the QWERTY,these buttons work only as letters, when slided down - only as numbers.
You like that?

Actually you can have separate keyboards for the numeric and alpha (ie no dual markings). Look at the Pantech Duo in this video on you tube

bodeh I'm talking about a different thing.

Yes, that is like the design in sealover's latest 'Shop, however, such a design would make the P5 much thicker than PK's comments make it seem (as he has said it's thinner than the N95, if I remember). The Pantech Duo is a small phone, but still 20mm-ish. I think icaka was trying to speculate how the P5 could have both keypads, but on the same plane so as to make the device thinner overall.
Correct me if I'm wrong. |
