ok, so i have a whole load of pictures on my w910i which i have organised in to folders using the file manager tool. however, when i go to my media player and view the photos, they are all over the place and not organised like my folder structure. is there a way to get the media player to structure and show your pictures in folders like they are organised via file manager?

also some of my photos appear as blank boxes instead of showing the thumbnails. any ideas why this might be?

I've been experiencing the same problem too for the first 2 days

but...i have now found out WHY =D

about the photos all over the place, i have noticed that the media library organises images by their tags. if you use your PC and go into the properties window for any image, you'll see a DATE TAKEN, DATE MODIFIED section. the media library organizes the files by the dates on those criteria.
so if you have a photo that was taken in July, the media library will put the photo in the JULY folder.
i think the only way to view images in the folders that you created yourself is by going to the FILE MANAGER in the ORGANISER menu.

the blank thumbnail issue i believe is a bug in the firmware. it happens when you delete images from the FILE MANAGER in the ORGANISER MENU, and then the media library tries to read it, but it cant because the file is already deleted. it should appear normal again when you re-enter the media library, and if that doesnt happen, then take out your memory stick and put it back in.

i just cant wait till SE releases a new firmware update for the W910i =]

thanks for that. it makes sense. i was beginning to think it might have something to do with the tags! much appreciated. also removed memory card and re-inserted as mentioned. that solved the 'blank' photos issue!

1. is there any possibility to change / add functions of media browser? for example to sort not only by date/tags or viewing pics in the picture folder as they are saved in folder structure? or at least e tag which hides specific pictures in media browser

2. how can i make pictures appear in the album section instead of pictures section (and vice versa)?

3. how can i select some pictures for diashow? i don't want to see always EVERY picture on my phone...

1. I'm afraid not.

2. The ones in album are the ones in your Camera album in File manager, and the ones in Pictures are the ones in Pictures in the File manager.

3. It's not possible.

so 1. is a pity

2. that's not correct. in my phone, there are som pictures in picture section and appear in media manager among album/photos. i mean - when i try to move files from picture section tho album (in data manager), it's possible when it is a picture taken by some sort of camera, but impossible if it's not. however position in data manager has no influence in which section in media browser it may appear.

3. never seen such useles feature...

I don't get you...

Anyhow, the position of the image files DOES have an influence on where they appear in the media browser.
