Well,we don't know much yet...The W980i is code-named Maria.It will have the new touchscreen UI and will be iPhone's direct competitor.
And some rumours about it:
Maria
High end candybar. It will have a d-pad, and six buttons and no numeric keypad, with a touchscreen for most functions. Similarly or more highly spec'd than the W960i. To be announced on December,12th and released in W9/2008.
Despite there is no credible info, I assume it is based on OMAP2430 or OMAP2431.

Similarly or more highly spec'd than the W960i. To be announced on November 15th and released in week 9 of 2008.
Of course higher spec'd

Yeah, may want to start a new one of those. 
As the W960 is the branded (Walkman) version of the P1 in specs, can we expect the W980 to be the Walkman-spec equivalent of the P5? |
