I have a K850i which I have paired with my Parrot car kit. The problem is that every time I get into the car the car kit wants to sync the phonebook and the phone asks me if I want to allow it acces to the items. On my w810i this happened for about 6 times and then finally the phone asked me if I Always wanted to allow the car kit to have access. I have emailed sony about this but as usual no response. Please help ask its doing my head in.

I have been using my K850i with my car kit and the phone book synchronizes without any issues just liek my W810i or my K750i. In the 'My Devices' list under the bluetooth menu, you will find your paired devices. Select the device and go to the 'Allow Connection' option and select 'Always Allow'. Hopefully, that will fix it.

I have a Vodacrap branded K850i and I have not got the "Allow Connection" option in my menu. If anyone has any other suggestions i would be very grateful.

What kit are you using.
I have an unbranded K850 with no always allow option, although it does come up for some other bluetooth devices

I have tried the k850 with a Parrot CK3100 and a Garmin Nuvi660 with the same results. I have just come off the phone with Vodafone with absolutly no joy whatsoever. The basically said that they did not support any bluetooth connectivity problems and had no answers. Tech support? I think not.

Hmmm just won a parrot mini kit on ebay, suddenly thought i wonder if this will actually work with my K850i

Surely a newer phone must be able to work just as well as older models!

I'll be back to let you know how i get on once i have the kit... :s

The mini kit will work fine as it does not need to download the phonebook onto the kit.

As for the others, upgrade the f/w to latest version ....037 and this will sort the problem.

As mentioned, it is a firmware issue. R1CA029 doesn't have the option to always allow the device, whereas R1CA037. I had loads of problems with my Parrot car kit prior to updating, but now it works flawlessly. [addsig]
