I have 6 messages and cannot read them because I can't press select.

When restarting the phone I found I can
a)Press # key to confirm sim/phone PIN
b)Press "1" key to confirm flight/phone mode

but beyond that I cant access the messages which have appeared in the "events" section (which I can bring up) all the hardware keys work but no soft keys. Anyone know of some magical secret or whatnot?

I have tried accessing my phone from various programs that allow you to connect but I cannot select "phone mode" when I plug in the USB cable

any comments appreciated

You can use the numeric keypad for shortcuts.

no you cannot except in the example mentioned above, or when you can access the menu (which you need the middle softkey to do, try it on your phone to see)

Connect it to your computer and use MyPhoneExplorer (don't know if it works with K850 though)

In my K800 I do not actually have to select "Phone Mode" to use my phone with the computer. The phone is already at phone mode when I plug in my DCU-60.
I guess it's the same on K850.
