when i take a photo through the k800.. a red light flashes while wuto focusing..
when it happens..people ger worried thinkin it is harmful to the eye..thinking it may cause problems in them..
is this light aN infra red light? would it cause harm if it falls on the eye? please let me know soon.

afaik, this light helps the phone to focus well the object.

infrared light is invisible to the human eye, so if it was infrared, the light wouldn't be visible

It's just a normal wavelength red light, nothing to worry about.

It's an AF assist lamp.

A standard lamp, no IR etc. involved.

It's there for the phone to help it focus on your subject in poor light conditions.
