My Gf has an ex contract Moto Razr, can I as a technophobic unlock it easly or do I have to take it to a phone shop?

just ring your provider, after 12months they should provide you a free-unlock code.
some have the option to request a unlock-code due through their webside |

Just ring T-Mobile and they will sell it to you for £15 i have even unlocked a phone i only had for 3 days, things have changed now and are not as difficult as they used to be IMO.
