Change message alerts? |

I have a sony ericsson z500a, and I can set in ringtones that I recorded using the phone, but is it possible to do the same with the message alerts? I mean the only options in there are None, Message Alert 1 2 3 4 5 and 6, and nothing else. Can I set a custom message alert? or like replace one of the audio in the phone via data cable? |

I think this is an ignorant move by Sony Ericsson. They need to start responding to consumer demand when it comes to their phones. My s700i is three years old. I cannot change my message alert sound to an MP3 or a midi of my choosing. What cracks me up is that even now, even if you bought SE's newest 2007 model, I bet you still can't do it.
I bet the newest model still doesnt have a regular headphone jack, I bet it still takes at least 7 keypresses to make a call, I bet it still has a subpar external loudspeaker, I bet the MP3 player still doesnt get loud enough, I bet the headphone connector still sticks out about 2 inches. Its little things like these that they still havent corrected that make me feel theres no reason to buy a new SE. So what if I have a slightly better camera and more room? The UI is still slow and laggy and clunky, even on newer models. And they've been recycling a lot of the same boring designs. I think SE is becoming trend followers instead of trend-setters. Other companies like Samsung, Nokia, LG and Motorola are offering new handsets that are on par with SE's models. They need to start making some changes or theyre gonna lose their customer loyalty! |
