If you've registered fatreg.co.uk in your name, then you've already bought the address.
It's yours to do what you want. You'd need to contact the registrar (StreamlineNet in your case) and get them to point any requests to fatreg.co.uk to your server at home.
Depending on how helpful (or not) or registrar is, it might be easier to transfer management of the domain name to someone like FastHosts or 1and1 who give you full control over the settings for your domain. Then you can modify the DNS settings and point the domain, or sub-domains anywhere you want. If you choose this option you'd need to get your current registrar to change the IPSTAG to the new one.
However, unless you've got really good upstream broadband connection (and no transfer limits), I really wouldn't recommend trying to run a server from home. It's just not really practical over a standard DSL line.
