hi ,
i have to format the hard disk of my P1i, but i can't do that, i tried to doing this:
You need to access the service menu, with the following key combination:
jog dial UP
*
jog dial DOWN
jod dial DOWN
*
jog dial DOWN
*
You'll see 'Format internal disk' as an option.
but i can't see any menu, someone know other way to see that menu?

Can't you access the P1's Control Panel?
Theres's a hard reset option there. |

yes, i know that option, but is not the same to format the hard disk, i want to do this. someone could help me please? |

Why do you say it's not the same?
I see no evidence of that. The phone completley resets to factory defaults and all is lost.
There's another way -- update the firware with SEUS (even if it doesn't need updating), although this is more risky imho.

i get the service menu when i use the same key combination. are you sure your putting it in correctly and when your on the standby screen?
but as lau says - had reset achieves the same thing... |

Hi Everyone,
I just want to ask if the re-flashing will resolve the error I have when booting up my P1i. The error message is stated below:
Application:
EikAppUiServerThread
Reason Code:
KERN-EXEC
Reason Number:
3
This was happened when I installed something but I forgot what application is that. I have unistalled all application I have in my external memory but still having the same error message. I even tried to hard reset the phone but no luck.
Any idea will be much appreciated. |
