My classics?
K700
S700
Z800/V800
W800
W900
K790/K800
Add 5Mp A/F camera, QVGA 30 fps video and Wifi to the W910 and it'll be an instant classic. Nothing classic on the horizon atm IMO.

T68m is from Ericsson, not SE! That phone started the hype arround today's phones. Its one for the history books.
classics by SE are
T610 and K750
that is all!
yup .. t610 and K750 (there is no real classic the W series)
i may include the P800/900 in the list as it is the trend setter for the touchscreen/smartphone series

T68 had two problems, in 2002 it was $NZ1400 + another $NZ400 for the camera attachment making it too expensive at the time (K800 on release in 2006 - $NZ899) to really impact the market here plus it had no antenna connector on the back so I had several unhappy custmers whose carkits couldn't use an extenal antenna. In 2002 reception wasn't as good as it is now.
K700 was far more innovative than T610 so gets my vote.
I considered the K750 but as so many people reflashed them to W800 firmware, and the fact that the series is a major sales success, I went for W800.
W900 is on everyone's must have list. How can it not be considered classic? Where are 's other 30 fps phones?

my 3 clasics must be
T68i= 1st celphone with bluetooth . irda, color screen, themeable, gprsable phone in my country. and it came whit the camera adapter!!!!
K750/w800= revolutionary camphone, whit a good if not exelent media player, memory stick capable, and radio. bets phone ever made period. W800 and K750 are the same phone!!!! just some variations, like walkman skin media player, and more spencive, and better headphones.
p990 (or the series): great smartphone. first WIFI phone here, all the goodies of the K750/w800 plus the symbian apps!!!!. |

I wouldn't call the P800-P990 series classic, I think eccentric describes it better. The P990 was little more than more-of -the-same and its many deficiencies rule out accolades IMO.

My 3(+1) classics are:
1)S700-Because it set a standard in mobile imaging (Sharp GX30/GX32 & Nokia 7610 1.3 mp didn't come close to its quality and it's still one of the best in its class today with its CCD sensor) and for its unique, creative & stunning dual-front design yet to be rivaled to this day
2)W800-Because it kicked off the mobile music revolution & appeared accessible to the masses
3)K750-It largely defined SE's image as a leader in mobile imaging purely for its quality and not because of some attached branding
4)T610-It turned enough heads towards SE worthy of a mention. It also became a design template for SE's typical sober'esque' and simple yet stylish outlook
Sadly such robustness and flair SE once had has died now

I'd go with the T610, K750 (my favourite phone I think) and the K800 which has taken all the areas of SE phones to near perfection. Walkman software and headphones with the K800 would have been great!
K850 isn't going to do so well IMO. |

For would have to be the W900i(the phone that was perfect from SE, combining a good camera, good camcorder, Walkman, 3G, and looks absolutely awesome.), the K700i(had a good amount of onboard memory for its time, decent camera, and is a nice phone overall.) and the K800i(the first Cybershot phone ever.).
They were all great phones to use. |
