what it seems people are forgetting is this is the release software and picture quality is not gonna be at its peak
Anyone who owned an N95 will testify to this as well, when i first had my N95 pics were blue tint and blurry at the edges and video was worse but from v12 upwards the camera was outstanding and i genuinely feel the same will happen with the K850
People need to be less hasty to critize and make dumb comments like "the N95 quality is better" when its been on the market than the other and had more updates than the K850

Hi all,
Well IMO i am a average photographer at best i simply point and shoot when the green square says it's good. Although their are lots of settings i could tweak i actually don't have a clue what any of them do, no really I'm serious i really don't.
Well anyway here are a few pictures i took this afternoon with my N95 8GB and as i said i am strictly point and shoot.
Sorry that's all i could upload as the others are over 2mb so won't upload i may post them in the Esato Picture section. These look OK to me and achieve what i want and that's all i really expect from a Camera phone to be honest which is to usually capture the moment quickly.
Marc

I just bought a new 5 mega pixel digital camera made by Nikon and i compared the shots next to other 5 mega pixel camera phones and there is just no contest. I have made the decision that a proper camera is best and pictures on my phone are just for fun and casual snaps. Phone cameras have consistantly let me down i did not like the new SE K850i and have tried all others and its just a waste of time. I love my Nikon with its big screen optical zoom and proper camera features. The camera phone will never out do stand alone cameras. Sorry.

@Seanyb2
I agree with you completely even my Nokia N93 with 3x optical Zoom was only really good for occasional and quick snaps IMO. Although having said that my phones Camera's of late actually take better pictures than my now old Sony Cybershot DSC-P92. So whilst they ae not actually bad for some one like me that just points and shoots they do produce acceptable results if not technically perfect or excellent.

@dogmann - Yup, they are sharp indeed . . . I really LIKE the first UPLOAD . . . is that your dog - Otis in the background playin' in the grass How come the second image is NOT that sharp, considering that they were both taken - OUTDOORS
I'm hoping to see more images though . . .
Congrats with the prurchase (N95-8GB) . . .

Hi JoJo
Yeah that's Otis tracking where the foxes have been no idea about the second picture except that it is under the trees so darker as opposed to being in the middle of the field. I have some other pictures but they are all over 2mb so Esato won't let me up load them. I suppose i could upload to Flickr and post links.

@dogmann - OK . . . 'will wait for those NEW sets of images taken with your N95 matey . . . LINKS (due to HUGE file-size) will do.
Yup, I agree that the TREES made the image a BIT dark compared with the one taken in an OPEN-field (Otis in it).

do you realy think this 2 pictures looks so good ???????
(no offend), BUT the first pic have to much contrast/colors and the houses (even the grass toward the houses) looks quite blurry...
the second pic...well it looks realy realy bad.....
even a N95 in full daylight can take crappy pictures.....
