In future please refrain from using the words K850i and video quality in the same sentence I am happy to see you've edited your post

Buddy, i really think you should just stick to taking pics and not commenting on things you dont know anything about. N95's screen is amazing.

No offence, but my comment has nothing to do with those pictures but rather with your malicious comment about the flash. It sounded as you wanted to imply he was an idiot not knowing what he is talking about, but obvious from his photographic skills shown in the link I provided he knows how to master his K850 and its flash as it seem (if the pictures are untuched as he claims).

What you fail to see is that while the K850 auto settings may not be the best (I admit the N95 can have a better auto system at times), with little manual fiddeling you can get excelent photos with K850 (perhaps even beter than those taken with N95).

That's all.

LOL ... Kind people of Esato, plankgatan is now the Gold Standard for k850 pictures. All the reviews and comparisons done by 'PROFESSIONALS' on M-R, GSMarena and the many others to come don't mean a thing but what plankgatan says or do should be accepted without question. Way to go buddy! I want some of what you're somking!! lollz

Plankgatans may not be a professional, but he obviously has mastered his K850 very well while your "professionas" have not. You professionals have shown K850 takes less good pictures with auto settings while
the amature plankgatan has shown its possible to take excelent photos with K850 if you fiddle with the manual settings.

Now, what the heck is wrong with that if I may ask ?

Key word: 'fiddle'. So basically what you saying, N95 beats the crap out of the K850 in 'AUTO" settings. I thought so too, thanks buds! lollz

N95 is over 6 months old and SE's latest and greatest is having trouble keeping up. That shows you how ahead of it's time that device was and still is!

And now ladies and gents, the black beauty, the N95 8gb is going to mop the floor with the competition, specially that fugly brick aka SE's joke of a 'flagship' K850. lollz ;]

I ain't so sure the K850i is their 'flagship' anymore - if it still is, they certainly 'flag the wrong sheep'

the is n73 vs. k790 all over again..

from my experience the k850 will be a more versatile cam.. due to size, speed and flash... the n95 will take better overall pics if you have time and the correct lighting...

but from what i heard the n95-8gig is a bit faster then the old n95 when it comes to capture...

And according to the reviews the K850i is slower then what we expect from SE. And NO this isn't N73 vs. K790 - This time around we have a clear winner

according my foot.. i have both.. 2 secs to start to 2 secs to save on the k850i..

4 secs to start, 5 secs to save or 3 sec to open if in background and 5 secs to save on the new n95-3 (us version with the 128 ram).. (you can't even leave the camera in the old n95 running cause you'll get memory errors...)

@plankgatan

Well if you still believe all of the below is true

"i think N95 is one of the worst cell phones Nokia ever built.

realy expensive____bad build quality on the slide & chassis___ to much buggs____very bad battery life____no flash___the camera takes pictures with to much contrast____the GPS works often very bad, (special i cars..and yes, ive seen it).................so please, dont come and say that N95 is a awesome phone !!!!

sure...it have everything, but it should be nice if "everything" worked like it suppose to do !!! "

What exactly is the K850 there are more people that own a K850 reporting problems and that they are on their 2nd and counting still having problems.

So this either means there are one hell of of lot of Monday phones as you like to call them or according to your perverse logic as the N95 had acknowledged problems that were fixed quickly, they were all still rubbish. The k850 must be even bigger rubbish as just because some are OK that makes no difference it has to judged on the worst.

Now i would never say the above is correct but by any one's standards the amount of people that have problems with their K850's is way to high. Before you suggest it's all user error some of the people that have had bad K850's are longtime SE users and at least one Mobile Phone journalist and self confessed SE fan. What is more alarming is that when he met some top brass from SE they were unaware of any problems which is the same as customer support claim from every person who reports a problem. if they don't know there is a problem how is it going to get fixed in the next firmware?

Oh and if you think that's what a N95 screen looks like you are crazy i don't know who set the phone up unless than where an SE fan they did a really bad job as the screen is much better than that.

Marc

No, what I am saying is that in bright sunlight N95 does a better job with auto in many situations while in dull light it appears to be the opposite. That's why there are manual settings, to fix what the auto can not deal with.

n95's biggest problem is that many times it appears to loose details (look at the trees in get picture below) and look more like a painting rather than a picture (the white balance and exposer however looks ok).
If that is you perception of a good "picture", well what can I say. Each on is own.

Sure, an N95 8G for 1050 USD is a bargain.

Look around this thing called the internet, the N95 8gb goes around $850. tata!

Without another a couple of bills you can buy a decent laptop for the price of an N95 8G and that is more useful than an N95, yeah !

Look around your self, you can find a K850 for around 580 USD. Beside, you seem to forget your local VAT and the shipping cost. With that N95 becomes 850 USD*1.25 (25% VAT at my location) = 1065 USD and that's without the cost for the shipment. Tata on your self.
