to be honest, i was disappointed any kind of n95 pix, also landscapes...

and yes, the xenon flash is a big positive for se fones, imo they should use it as standard in the future, cos those fone lights are really outdated

n95 pics have such a big contrast.......the colors looks often unreal, (nearly like cartoon)

Well according to this review N95 algorithm outperforms K850:-

http://smape.com/en/reviews/n[....]Ericsson_K850ivsNokia_N95.html

"...The N95 produced a more saturated image with a realistic color rendering. All the small details are still easily distinguishable in the picture which scores it a few more points leaving K850i behind with its blurred and light-struck photos. "

"..It’s easily recognized when you compare the pictures to those taken with a N95 – while the latter keeps the details sharp and colorful, the K850i gives a dull and blurry image. "

"...blaming Nokia handsets for taking unnaturally colored photos. The popularity of this belief is quite comparable to its wrongness. There might be something to it, by so far we’ve only encountered vivid and bright colours in N95 pictures but those by no means looked unreal or unnatural....So it turns out that actually it’s the SE phone that indulges in such a vice as unnatural color rendering – if not always, then at least in a good number of cases. While The N95 image post-processing algorithm does a good job making picture more bright and deep, the K850i tends to corrupt the photos in a way. "

"K850..abundance of yellow is but a corruption of its normally white lightning as seen in real life. N95 did the job quite well, the photos sporting a better detail and color depth"

No offence, but my comment has nothing to do with those pictures but rather with your malicious comment about the flash. It sounded as you wanted to imply he was an idiot not knowing what he is talking about, but obvious from his photographic skills shown in the link I provided he knows how to master his K850 and its flash as it seem (if the pictures are untuched as he claims).

What you fail to see is that while the K850 auto settings may not be the best (I admit the N95 can have a better auto system at times), with little manual fiddeling you can get excelent photos with K850 (perhaps even beter than those taken with N95).

That's all.

LOL ... Kind people of Esato, plankgatan is now the Gold Standard for k850 pictures. All the reviews and comparisons done by 'PROFESSIONALS' on M-R, GSMarena and the many others to come don't mean a thing but what plankgatan says or do should be accepted without question. Way to go buddy! I want some of what you're somking!! lollz

Plankgatans may not be a professional, but he obviously has mastered his K850 very well while your "professionas" have not. You professionals have shown K850 takes less good pictures with auto settings while
the amature plankgatan has shown its possible to take excelent photos with K850 if you fiddle with the manual settings.

Now, what the heck is wrong with that if I may ask ?

on that chinese sites are plenty of comparison pix... might sound weird, but after i zoomed on most of them, me seems, as the n95 pix were the ones made with k850 and the opposite... there si sg wrong with those pix, cant believe that n95 outperforms k850

Ahh... nice! Yet one more thread where owners of mediocre camera phones flame each other about whose camera sucks the least

Most of comparo photos are taken with auto. And there are many people who said that K850 flash does misfire or not fire at all.

Yeah, who knows...maybe plankgatan takes 10min to setup every shot he takes and he selects only the best after taking 50 shots of the same object.

You know what - actually I feel sorry for the SE 'fans'. They have a predicament now. Should they raise the alarm/complain and hope SE will do something about the picture quality (especially the flash) or should they 'save face' and praise SE for the beautiful camera flagship device they have created ? judging by the posts, the later seems to be the case - suits me thou -

N95 is already so much better than K850 in almost every aspect, the only thing that could save k850 was the camera. If the cam´s worst than that´s it. N95´s price is down nowadays and is a much better all round AND CAM phone compared to . Theres no reason to be a k850 or fan today, a couple of years ago (k700, w800 e etc) maybe, but today its just stupid.

i think N95 is one of the worst cell phones Nokia ever built.

realy expensive____bad build quality on the slide & chassis___ to much buggs____very bad battery life____no flash___the camera takes pictures with to much contrast____the GPS works often very bad, (special i cars..and yes, ive seen it).................so please, dont come and say that N95 is a awesome phone !!!!

sure...it have everything, but it should be nice if "everything" worked like it suppose to do !!!

Here is another independent review were the N95 trashes the poor K850i in picture quality. http://www.phonearena.com/htm[....]K850-Review-review-r_1846.html In all the other aspects there is no contest anyway. I think we can safely assume the N95 - 8GiG is T H E P H O N E

the is n73 vs. k790 all over again..

from my experience the k850 will be a more versatile cam.. due to size, speed and flash... the n95 will take better overall pics if you have time and the correct lighting...

but from what i heard the n95-8gig is a bit faster then the old n95 when it comes to capture...

And according to the reviews the K850i is slower then what we expect from SE. And NO this isn't N73 vs. K790 - This time around we have a clear winner

I would be interested if hey also did a comparaison with the LG KU990 vs N95 vs K850. If I sell my touch (still waiting to increase my post count before I can post) I would go for the either k850i or the LG.

Edit: I found the thread on the video thing
