Hi all. I bought a W810i not too long ago and I;ve always had a problem with the vibrating function. It's enabled but it only works sporadically. And I've noticed that it only works once I sort of shake the phone. For example, in the service test area, while checking the vibration function I hit any key like it says, and nothing. Then I shake it and it vibrates sort of like on a delay, and then I hit another key and it does vibrate. But after a while it doesn't anymore. If I shake it again then yes, it works again. It's never been dropped or anything! This is annoying since vibration is what I use to the most! I figure there's something loose inside? Can anyone help?

thanks.

@meneito:

welcome to esato, mate!

if you're really sure you have not dropped the unit (nor bumped it somewhere), then there's nothing wrong with the vibrator hardware-wise. i have opened a W810 and the vibrator is encased in a greenish "jell-o" like compartment and is secured in its "box".

i just find it funny though that you have to shake it in order to activate it (during service test).

in order to be sure, you could try to have it looked by a professional or at any SE service center nearest you.

hope the vibration function becomes normal again

Thanks. Yea, I haven't dropped it. I'm going to go ahead and drain the battery once more and then if it's still the same, I'll take it to a service center.
