Crazy John, otherwise know as John Ilhan, died today of a heart attack.
RIP Crazy John, I never bought a phone off you, but I wish you eternal peace all the same.

yes he did indeed have plans to have his own network. Just like an Optus, Telstra etc etc.
Not sure whats going to happen now, though id imagine they would try go ahead with the plans in memory of John, its what he wanted!
Also, note Crazy John now is a Vodafone deale, notice how they also wanted to open in Zew Zealand, and have partnerships internationally also! No better way to do this than with Vodafone, a worldwide network. Ditching Telstra was a smart move if you ask me, easier achieving their goals with Voda.

Really a voda store ? Last week i popped in to one and it was still telstra. Although ditching telstra was a very good idea and i agree that voda is better choice.
So it seems no huge excitement about a new wetwork if it came to be ?

yeah Crazy Johns are now Vodafone dealers! have been for a good couple months.
Oh and, when i got k850, on new phones you can download, wap, mms settings etc from the setup wizard thing now, in the settings menu. it gave me the options as to which networks settings id like to download. It had other, vodafone, and............. Crazy John. i was like, WTF! i was tripped out maybe coz they are voda dealers now, or his network is almost finished

walked by a Crazy Johns store in the city today.... had flyers on the window saying something about free phones on a 25c contract (yes 25cents, must be some catch involved!) on their own new Crazy Johns network, so i guess its been launched. I expect it to be advertised a bit during the week.
Im assuming they launched it through Vodafone, and its a network like that of Soul (soul use optus), B (optus) , Boost (Telstra??) etc...
