A guide to details that should be included in market forum sales |
masseur Joined: Jan 03, 2003 Posts: > 500 From: Sydney, London PM |
I see the same questions being asked over and over in the market forums and though we have previously discussed this in brief I thought it was time to have a list for people to use as a guide of what they should mention when posted items for sale
- What are you selling?
- what colour is it?
- What condition is in it? describe any marks etc and if there is any function not working correctly
- is is branded?
- is it locked?
- what accessories come with it? is it boxed?
- what is the starting (minimum) price? BIN?
- what payment methods accepted?
- are trades accepted?
- what is the ending time?
- what is the location of the item and what locations you are prepared to deal with
and lastly... POST PHOTO'S!
please feel free to reply if anyone has a suggestion to add to this list
Also, a subset of this list can be used for wanted ads to give a better indication of what you're really looking for

I'm not sure how that helps with what description should be given when selling on Esato
but anyway... while bumping this I'll also say that I don't think it is good practice, especially from reputable sellers, to delete the description in the first post when an item is sold. I've seen this activity quite a bit too, including today.
If there is ever a dispute when the item is received about, say, the condition or some other aspect of how the item was dscribed, then there is nothing to go back to compare with
any other comments/additions to my list in the first post?

This really annoys me also and is a very valid point in my opinion |

Yeah, but it is done in someones free time so it can only be done when they have time really. But anyway, I'm sure you will be on there soon and you can always see that you have recieved feedback by checking the AZott thread here on esato |

Classic example of why bids should be made openly in threads, i would have quite happily bid more than the "secret" £70 bid, but you cannot beat what you can't see can you!!

yes, it would be better if bids were made out in the open!

Theres a rule on AVF that any communication should be in the thread and stirctly not otherwise until the deal has been confirmed.
maybe we should adopt the idea
