8 - 1/2000 shutter speed range.

What's that in fractions of a second?

Need to get an answer...

(Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3)

If theres anything else that can match that, can I have some opinions please?

Max price is £240-250. Size is a variable for me, should be a high-zoomer though.

Thanks, Arien.

Shutter speeds are measured in seconds ie: a shutter speed of 1/8 = 1/8th of a second.

So a shutter speed of 1/2000 is 1/2000th of a second. (0.0005 seconds)

Try this... http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/con[....]long-zoom/finepix-s6500fd/View

its not a compact but its much better, very high top shutter of 1/4000th sec, really good zoom factor, optical zoom too not digital, has face detection technology as standard plus full manual control. I have an earlier model, the s5000 and its a cracking camera, they got for under £200 too
