the use of IBAN has been compulsory for cross border transfers in Europe for euro and pound accounts since 2003

I regularly transfer fund between my luxembourg, german and UK banks and it almost always takes 2 days.

In fact, sending money to Aus almost always takes 2 days these days too

edit: thats two business days of course

So the best thing i can do is a normal bank transfer... Are there any costs to do that?

most banks charge international bank transfer fees........

Its a very secure payment method and its instant. Its mainly used for ebay transactions. Check out their website, they do charge a fee but not that much really.
