I know a few on here are posties and was wondering what the backlog is like now?

I have been waiting for 2 recorded items for 9 days now and still nothing today.

Have you still loads of backlog to get through?

I bought and sent about a dozen items this week ALL arrived normally, unless your items originate from Liverpool ( they had a week off because the footy was on) , you should be OK.

Its differant all over the country tbh...

My office in York is doing pretty well with keeping up with the backlog, 1st class items are being delivered the next day and 2nd class withing two working days... And theres knowhere near as much mail hanging around in the basement as there was this time last week.... Though saying that there is still more than enough....

Obviously the wildcat strikes in Liverpool, Glasgow, London and Leeds are having effects as there pretty big offices and will handle a lot of mail for the surrounding areas so people will still be feeling the effects of this....

Its going to be a while though until everything is back to normal because of RM boss's not allowing us to work over our alloted hours thus booking overtime so we can eat into the backlog....

To be honest im pretty annoyed about the postal strikes as most of us are, but my local sorting office takes the biscuit, they never answer the phone and when i go round there to see if theres any mail their all sitting around drinking tea.

All were getting at the moment are letters and spam, it's bad enough trying to get parcels with no postal strikes etc.

This ain't the Norwich sorting office by the way, Norwich is just close to me lol.

Sorry for the rant.
