Has anyone used T68 with Voicestream (USA) GPRS iStream data service? |

Hi: I am trying to get my T68 working with the Voicestream GPRS
iStream data service in the US. So far the best I have managed to
achieve is very slow and very sporadic WAP access. Questions I have
for anyone else who has done this successfully...
(1) Can you get the iStream manager software on a PC to detect a T68
via the Ericsson Fone Data Suite USB cable? (I can't!)
(2) When I get a successful data connection from the Ericsson Fone
Data Suite software on my laptop via the T68 I seem to be getting
assigned a 10. IP address, but the assigned gateway IP address is the
same, and no DNS address is set up, so I can't browse the Internet.
(3) What are the right config settings for the T68? The info. on the
Voicestream help site gives me a gateway IP address but nothing else
that seems to help?
(4) What sort of performance can you get on the network once its
configured?

Someone in that thread suggests that you should be able to get 56kbs from VoiceStream.
Who wants to use some VS iStream tool on their PC, when you can set up the T68 as a regular modem? | |
