Time stamp on K850i picture |

Hi,
Do anyone has got any idea how to activate the date-time stamp printing on the K850i pictures ? I just had my phone 3 days back and still cannot find the icon in the camera options.
My phone is on O2 contract. Can that branding has got anything to do with the icon disappearing ?
Thanks

The o2 branding doesn't have anything to do with it I don't think. Of what I've read there is no such feature in the k850i (or am I wrong?).

Maybe a firmware update (when it's released) could 'fix' this?

Ok. I understand that it has nothing to do with branding.
The 3 page Cyber-Shot leaflet that came with the phone do mention about the time stamp icon. So I would have thought that it will be there. Moreover, this is the most common feature in any digital camera and K850i being a Cyber-Shot I thought it will be there when it is already present in it predecessors. |

When viewing photos on my K850 I can call up the date and time stamp by pressing a function then pressing back. It shows for a couple of seconds then disappears. Does that help?
It seems to assign the data automatically as I haven't set it to do so

The time and date seeems to be in and read from the meta data in the photo its a shame you cant actually stamp it on the jpg image though |

It seems that all of you have the similar problem.
Yes, the date/time stamp is in the meta data of the photo. I was looking for the date/stamp on the JPG picture which all the digital photos have.
Even K800i has the functionality but I think for some reason SE missed this out and may be fixing in some future firmware fixes unless someone out there can find some decent hacks on this. If you do, please post in this thread. |

Looks like the latest fone models does NOT have the date-stamp-option on it

Why so much complaining about that? For me this option is useless.. I dont understand why you ppl like it.

. . . well, I find this as some SORT of a proof specially when comparing PHOTOS taken from this cam (and with other camfones too). Just like how date-stamp will function with - digicams.

Understand. Maybe SE find it useless and taked off. I think they should keep it like on K800 (with option ON/OFF of this feature).

Even the K750 / W800 have it.
I thought the K850 was meant to be the top of the range Cyber Shot phone lol |

Well you can always check the EXIF data of the picture to see when it was taken. Modern photo viewers can also sort by date. They use the EXIF data, too.
IMO, the date stamp ruins the picture AND makes taking pictures last longer. |
