well, doing it as you yourself write above works. Choosing "Don't display".
If you want to disable T9 (i.e. change input method), press and hold "*" when in message-writing mode. |

Ugh. I DO Know how to disable T9.
Basically, I am asking only to find out if w910i have the feature to choose "Don't Display"
Obviously I haven't own a w910i yet. Else I wouldn't be asking if they have the feature to Display as List or Don't Display.

If i want my T9 to be off. I wouldnt post a question to ask about the drop-down list.
the point is that i WANT my T9 without the Drop down list.
How HARD is it for people to acutally read the question and provide an answer related to the posted question, rather than provide something which isnt the question?
Not all phones have the function. IF all phones would to have, I wouldnt be here posting and asking.
FYI : W880i doesnt have the feature.
K810i, K800i, W580i, S500i, W810i have the feature. |

Watsworth, is it really necessary for you to be so stroppy? As a new member here, it doesn't really give others a very good impression. Those that have answered so far are only trying to help. Remember, this phone is very new (is it even available yet?), so there's a good chance not many people have it.
Why not send an email to SE? They would surely be best qualified to answer the question.
I would advise you to calm down a little, and treat others a bit nicer - you might find more people willing to help you then.

As the title mentioned. Owners of w910i.
If you dont own the phone or handled the phone. Why are u even posting. Is it to look like u are posting to increase posting number. Or is it to make ur presence here?
Yes, its a rather new phone and yes no one might have their hands on it yet. But there might have the one guy/gal might have the phone and able to test on their phone to try.
No, Sony Ericsson isnt able to disclose the ability of the phone as the phone hasnt launch yet. it will be launched on the 26th October.
Of Cos i have tried my means of the company of the phone and trying a 1% chance that someone might have the phone to have the little kind heart to try that function.
It's a Simple title and no one seem to read and obey the understanding of human beings. But if u cant answer what someone specifically asked. Please do not provide something that isnt relevant or perhaps not related.
Conclusion. Forums arent the source of specific answers.

@ Watsworth
I tried on my 910 and you can't do it !!
The sequence you've mentioned ( New Message > More > Writing Options > Word Suggestion > Display as List / Don't Display ) actually comes in a different order ( Text message > Options > Wtiting Options > etc...).
No "word suggestion" or any other option.
The only difference is a kind of status bar dropping down from the top of the screen and showing the caps and the time.

Thank You for trying to see if there is Word Suggestions as an option in the w910i.
Greatly appreciate the effort.

The option to either display as a list or not as a list when T9 is on, is available just as in other SE phones, and by default this is ON, which I always turn off.
