thats not correct. recording radio (or TV) for persnoal use is perfectly legal

what you are not allowed to do is share, broadcast or in any other way distribute the recording you have made

but i still think there should be an app that does this, Track ID is able to record from radio! As for the legal stuff, bollocks. People'll share anything, even mp3 songs. But there are still mp3 converters around that aids you in sharing songs on your music cds. So whats the legal fuss about radio recording?

There is no legal guss. As Masseur pointed out, it's not a legal concern. The reason you can't do it is probably more because SE didn't both giving us the function, not due to legal concerns. It's probably also to do with Sony not wanting SE to allow users to record off the radio because they want you to buy the CD instead!

The i-mobile 902 records radio as well, at 44.1 kHz stereo in WAV format.

There should be either a Symbian or Java app out there which is able to record of radio. I don't buy this nonsense about copyright as the recording off radio will be bad. Can't see how anyone would want to share that.
