I get a black SE HPM-70 which i use for both listening to the radio but also a hands free. When i when plugged it into my K810, the hands-profile activates ok but when i get an incoming call or text the sound comes from the phone rather though the earphones.
I've also tried the HPM-70 that came with K810i and W800i and also tested this on my boy-friend's one and it does the same thing too.
When your using a wired hands free, shouldn't the sound come from the earphones rather than the phone?
I've done a semi-master reset and checked all the settings which seem ok but still no joy.
Has anyone got any ideas if there is problem and if so, what it could be?

There is no problem at all.
All you have to do is put the phone on silent and then there will be no sound from the phone but instead through the earphones.

@ Coxy: Ah now that works. Thanks for that info =)
But it is a bit strange that the sounds doesn't go through the headphone when the handsfree profile is set on normal.
I think it works on my W800i without the slient on ok but i double check that tonight. |

Yes, when you put your phone onto silent mode with the headset plugged in, the next time you plug it in, the phone will go into silent automatically.

Its the same with my W800i as well after testing it both on normal port's free profile then with silent on.
I guess i was panicking over nothing then. Thanks for all your help to clear this matter up! =)
