My fiance needs a phone for work, to use on a construction site, I was wondering what suggestions you people might have? Thanks!

The 5500 is along the same lines but symbian!
It's very robust (for a Nokia)
Saying that though being in the building trade myself one of the reasons I use is because through my experience they were the only phones that would see me through a 12 month contract, all the Nokia's I had previous died within 9 months!
3210, 3310, 8210 & 7650 after which I gave up completely on Nokia till recently!

5210 is the best choice!
if your jst worried tht your phone can get damaged while working, jst get an old high-end phone you know....
it will cheap so no worries there!

Apart from being an outdoor phone, what other features are you looking for? I think that will make it easy.

Thanks everyone for your imput. My fiance really hates Nokias, and he needs a decent camera, but apart from that, all ideas are considered. He has had the SE K810i for around 5 months now and the microphone is already damaged due to all the stuff that has ended up in it! |

5100 was a good phone (old as it may be). My dad had dropped it from the 4th floor of scaffolding on the site into a puddle on concrete, amazing how survived with a crack in the fascia (which needed changing) but other than that it was 100& fine.

I would opt for the n5210.The n5500 would be a great choice, but the keypad falls off within 3 months(my 2 did anyway). If nokia have solved this defect it's good. What's more, it's symbian os9.1
