Hello guys, I am having troubel with Airtel GPRS and NOP.
I called CC and they told me tha to activate NOP, first I have to activate GPRS by doing a Rs.104 recharge from them and after 48 hrs the GPRS will be activated and then I should use the settings 'NOP' for internet surfing. i had EDGE icon visible all the time on phone.
But it's been 4 days and the GPRS icon has not shown up on my phone as the manual prescribed but i was able to open (In phone brwsr) google and getjar using NOP settings on my phone but I was unable to use opera mini as it kept saying I have problem regarding network settings.
So has GPRS been activated ? If yes then how to activate NOP and use it with Opera?
My phoe: SE Z710i
Internet settings:
internet profile: using NOP
Java settings: using NOP
Streaming settings: using NOP Airtel Kolkata |

As u can see i am able to view dis site from phone. But i am confused abt things. Like
1. When opening sites i sometimes get 2 error mesages one saying my request for a service could not be fulfilled and another saying gateway recieved an invalid response. Both mesages go away after refresing. So i am confused whether NOP has been activated or not. Please help me guys. |

have you made use of any proxy servers becuse now airtel allows u to do g search but charges you. By the way gprs gets activated inh about 14-16 hours the first time and in1 hour when you use it after reactivating. you need to check whether the default browser opens the pages. |

First check whether 1 month has gone since you activated GPRS.2ndly,I think that GPRS runs only on a specific proxy.3dly,If 1 month has not yet gone, then goto www.skweezer.net or www.t9space.com or mowser.com .Skweezer and t9space supports orkut.Didn't test mouser.Hope it helps you.If 1 month has gone, then use google proxy changer to access web.Or you can goto Free fullfledged GPRS forum and look at gaurav's posts.Still studying them. And I live in Kolkata as well.Am now on a vacation in Bakkhali.airtel recieves full signal there though hutch's a bit frowny |
