I own a Visor Prism which is a color Palm compatible device. It has one downfall, for some reason I cannot share my internet connection with my T68. But I got a free program to send ringtones to the phone, which works very well. For my old nokia I had to spend $10 on a program for ring tones and another $10 on a ring tone library...

I also had a 5mx & now have two Revo Plus PDA's and iPAQ 3870.
Have been tempted to buy the iPAQ 3870 due to excellent price at Carphone Wharehouse of £299 (can always sell on ebay).
After using Psion/Symbian OS for many years, It was quite a shock using the iPAQ. I have nearly sold it twice since buying it (only 4 weeks).
In my opinion (before I get flammed):
The built in applications on the Series 5 symbian platform are far easier to use and more powerful than the PocketPC (i.e. Agenda, Word, Contacts, Spreadsheet, Jotter etc.)
The Pocket PC shines with multimedia stuff Media Player, Explorer, Games and far better sync. with PC.
Wish someone would have the balls to bring out a revo type device (with built in keyboard) with symbian7 OS, colour, SD expansion, bluetooth, replacable battery, phone function (P800 built in PDA functions not as flexible as Revo).
Anyway trying to force myself to use the Pocket PC but NOT selling my Revo's. Strong feeling I'll be going back to them!!
If in the market for a Pocket PC the iPAQ is top quality but you should seriously be considering the new Dell Axim units. Super low price for state of art Pocket PC. Do know what build quality is like though.

I would choose Palm Tungsten because of the size, if the PDA is too big it stays home... |

I have been using Palm PDA's for three years now (first a Palm V, and now a m515)
I am very satisfied with my Palm experience, and the Palm Tungsten T beats any PocketPC on size, battery-time and ease of use! Your choice of downloadable programs is really great. And they work nicely with the T68... Guess which device I would chose...

I would buy the Sony but another option to consider is to sell your T68 and buy a P800. Then you get PDA and phone in one excellent combination. |

Thanks to all for the advice. Not yet too clear but Palm ahead of Microsoft? Until the 6MXc?

I use a t68i, just sold a 3870 (nice & cheap at www.total PDA, as carphone warehouse have sold out) ipaq is great but big with a phone as well, so i`ll buy a p800, if it`s a crap PDA i will get a 5 series ipaq (out soon with biult in phone) but it`s big so i`ll keep a tiny phone for those times when you only need a phone on you. so the most i should ever need to cary will be one item not two. the 5 series is on the web at either expansys or total PDA i can`t remember which. |

PSIKEY,
Thanks for your comment but I would be hugely disappointed if the applications for Palm & the Pocket PC had not moved on from the Psion - and you say they are actually inferior. Perhaps wait for the P800 after all. Or does anyone have any views on the Sharp Zaurus which I believe runs on Linux |

The applications for Palm PDA's are in my opinion very good (sorry no real experience with any Psion) the built in applications are slimmed down but very easy to use and fast, sync with windows works really well. Then there are lots of programs to download, both free and commersial (usually shareware). There is for example very good wordprocessors (WordSmith for example) and other office tools.
