Today I noticed that one of my MP3 was sounding funny, I little like a record been scratched. This was while listening to it on a K810i with a 4GB SanDisk M2 card. So I listened to the original MP3 file on my computer, sounded ok, I re-transferred the MP3 file to my phone and all was ok.

Has anyone else noticed this, how is the file getting corrupted, is it in the transfer process (in this case USB cable) or is the phone corrupting the file?

Can happen to anyone in my opinion. I had similar problem when I was using my W800 which used to have cracking sound on the speaker and even headphones with an older firmware. But that didn't annoy me, it was solved by doing dimple restart of the phone (though it didn't happen more than 4 times). It was like this: When you start your media player playing and someone calls you, you speak and the finish the call, the media player continues playing from the same position before the call, but now the sound is cracking a bit... I think it is a little firmware bug, not some serious problem so no need to worry...
