I have a p1i, and I can't seem to set my phone, or my voicemail box to let me know when I have new voicemail.

the o2 website says:
"Choose how you’re told about new messages
There are three ways we can let you know when you have a new message:
Text message
Phone call
The on-screen Voicemail symbol ()
You can choose the method that suits you best and change it at any time by:
Dialling 901
Keying * for greetings and mailbox settings and then 4
Following the prompts

However going into the voicemail settings, there is no option on how to be notified...?

If I remember correctly...nothing to do with the P1i settings...
Dial 901 to your voicemail.... then * , then choose option 4 which lets you change the way you are notified when you have a voicemail... then dial 1...notify by text...key 1... notify by ringback...key 2

thats just it. after I goto * and then 4, I don't get option 1 afterwards.

pressing 1 just makes it say 'that option is not valid'

weird.

Is your voicemail turned on? Dial 1750 to turn it on...
Dial 1760 to turn it off?

Otherwise... may I suggest contacting 02

I have just changed my notification setting from 'text message' to 'onscreen prompt' and it worked for me. I have a P1i and I am on O2
