the memory card that came with my k810i was a 128mb.
just orderd and received a 1gb card off ebay.
the card works ok except for 1 annoying thing.
with the 128mb once i hook up the data cable i didnt have to press any buttons on the phone, all i had to do is wait for it to connect via s/e pc suite application
then find the relevant folder i wanted to put things into or remove from
now i have to put the phone in file transfer mode.
i know its no biggie but i was just wondering what causes it..??? |

It is caused but the new card's "settings" stored in a log file on the card or the phone (not 100% sure) which remebers if you have selected the file transfer optioin, the charging or printing option as your primary one. If you have none selected (as your case with the new card is) you will be asked to do so everytime you connect the phone to your pC using the USB cable.
Anyway I think you can solve this problem. Give a try like this: Connect the phone with the cable and when asked to select one of the three options, just go back. Then go to Main menu/settings/connectivity/usb/usb connection... In the "Usb Connection" menu, select the option you want to be activated everytime you connect your phone to the PC using the USB cable. This may solve your problem...
