Hello guys, i have a problem with my phone, a K800i, i've had it for like 13 months now so my warranty has just runned out, but now it's giving me problems.
A few days ago I noticed when i took my phone out of my pocket that it was turned off. When i turned it back on it didn't turn back on normally:
The screen goes on, but without backlight, and I get this all black screen with the SE logo coming on, but then it turns back off straight away. I've tried the K800i dead phone fix here on the forum but it hasn't done the trick
- With sim or without makes no difference
- With the battery in, or just with the charger connected but no battery doesn't change it either
Last night i managed to turn it on normally once by connecting it to my laptop, but that worked only once. I think it did charge up the battery a little bit, so there should be some power in the battery.
Also, when i plug in the charger it doesn't charge or anything.
I have no idea what could cause this problem, but i do no that I have no warranty anymore |

I just tried the SE update utility, it did it's job, but the problem is still there
BTW, i did switch sims alot lately, can it have to do anything with that?

This doesn't sound like hardware problem to me as the phone can power on... Give it an EROM flashing for free using Wotanserver (do an EROM update which will remove all "SIM changing" bugs from the phone) and then flash your firmware also for free using XS++ with the latest version for K800 (R1KG001). That can do the trick...

I managed to fix it today. I noticed that it started if you left it alone for like 24 h+. So this time i left the simcard in and tried turning it on today, and it worked. The battery was at 1 % i plugged it into the charger and now the phone is fine again. Maybe it didn't even have enough power to respond to the charger being plugged in, because when i tried that nothing happened at all. |
