My problem is that my default account for connecting to the internet using gprs is working great but my wifi connection cannot be recognized by phone using it as default connection even in Internet connection it is set up as default. So everytime i connect to my wifi everything is great until i open opera 4 beta 2 or email then p1i trying to connect using gprs. Everything is configured ok so i really dont't know what to do. I already called SE support and they also don't know.
Wifi isn't faulty and connection to my Thomson wifi modem is great.
I really need help for this one.

Tnx.

PS Sorry for my bad english.

Do you have Enabled WLAN network?

Control panel -> Connect -> WLAN

More -> Enable WLAN Network

----------------------------------------

In Control panel -> Internet Accounts -> Grupes -> Internet

Set priority for WLAN Account "1"

The P990 is also having problems if all internet accounts (wifi, gprs, etc.) are placed in the same group account.

Try this:

Create another group account for gprs and put the default and additional wifi accounts in one and your gprs account in the other group. Now go to Internet accounts - Options and tick 'show connection dialog' and try again.

If you have signal and you are connected to WLAN but web and mail don´t work, the you don't have correct wlan setting

check that you have set wifi acesspoint to 2,4 GHz B with setting G or B+G have P1i problem with some AP...

then check RTS setting in your WLAN Account - Modify, More - Specify - RTS number must be same that you have set on your AP...

@Vexii

You should try it with separate groups + connection dialog again, as this should work 100%, at least if you have a working wifi connection.

Go to your 'Internet' group and remove any other account except default wifi account + home wlan account.

Create another group and name it 'Internet GPRS' and put only your GRPS account in that one.

Then enable 'show connection dialog', so that you get a prompt which group to use when you try to use an app which uses internet connection (e-mail, fring, opera (mini), etc.).

Now enable your wlan and try to check your e-mail and select 'Internet' when you are prompted to choose a group account.

One more thing. im is using wifi as default connection but cannot connect so maybe is something wrong with my setup. I just cant realize why p1 is saying that it is connected and the signal quality is excellent?

Hello,
I also seem to have a problem with using WLAN. I have done all advised in previous messages. The difference with my problem is that I cannot even connect to my network device. The only way I can do so is if I set my wireless device security mode to none.

I normally have it set to Auto (WPA or WPA2) and AES Cypher.
I have tried WPA only still no go. I also set it to 802.11b only.

I also entered IP Address manually and DNS address manually.. also not working.

None of these seem to work.

If anyone have some more info.. please share

Try to modify your WLAN settings and set "Energy saving" to OFF (sorry, I have Italian language on the phone, maybe it's Power saving or something like that).

Then try to upgrade your router's firmware.

I can only connect mine with no security or with WEP - I cannot get it to run with WPA1 or 2...

So I now use WEP and enable set MAC addresses in my router...

Hey guys I'm having problems with P1 wifi again. This time it isn't about connecting to the server its about "Server Not Found" issue. I managed to connect to the server but the web browser doesn't work. All settings set to normal. (Automatic,never touched)

The server is running Infrastructure mode. What is the difference between an ad-hoc one?
