Well mine has been kept in a bodyglove case where the camera lens hole is cut out so there's nothing rubbing against it.

The case shouldn't be scratching your lens, as it's soft inside?

I just put mine inside a cloth pouch and that's been good enough so far. I don't really like leather cases cos of the additional bulk.

That's the problem with the W810i lens coating, due to the lack of a cover. When I had my W810i no matter how careful I was that lens still got scratched!

What kind of pouch is it? Often dirt and dust can still find their way into the pouch/case and scratch the phone or cam lens, which is why I usually don't use one.

@Sammy_boy, this is the pouch that I use:

It's just a normal cloth pouch but I've been using it with my K750i as well as my W810i and it has served me well so far. I prefer cloth pouches cos they don't add too much bulk unlike leather ones and still protect my phones from dust and dirt. It has a drawstring so hardly any grime gets in. I'm not saying it's dust-proof of course, but it has worked for me so far.

I also came across another pouch that seems pretty good. It's made of a material that can be used to wipe the LCDs without causing any scratches. I've not used it myself though, so I'm not sure if it's as good as it claims to be. Check it out HERE.

just to share something related...
It's branded as "Super" and got it from one of the numerous accessory shops around our area (Baguio City, Philippines) and cost me only PhP 50.00..
Hope this pic gives you an idea of the case's utility to me... So far its serving its purpose especially when my son is toying around with its host of games

please see attached pics:

I got the same case but mine's transparent. I've only had it on for barely a few minutes after I bought it before I decided to remove it because it was making it hard to reach some of the keys. Anyway, I've just realised that my camera lens is scratched! I have no idea how it could have happened since nothing usually gets in contact with it.

deluded: Yup, i also still get scratches altho my right front pocket is exclusive to my W810i. Reaching all the keys with my rubber case is not a problem though...

Btw, just posted a new thread with my new "modded" W810i housing/casing... Just bought a thin protective film for my LCD and with my new "back", I'm now done with my rubber case

Please try to see the said thread under General Discussions... Hope it could give you an idea... A pleasant day ahead to you!

@aldrinus, I keep my W810 in my left front pocket and there's nothing else in my pocket, so I'm a little puzzled as to how the camera lens could have gotten scratched. Makes me miss my K750 a little. I saw the mod you did in your other thread, you did a great job and you chose the right housing since the colours are very similar. I wouldn't dare do such a mod myself as my W810 is still relatively new and covered by warranty. Perhaps in due time I'd get a black K750 housing and do the same mod you did. Was it difficult and were there much modifications to the original chassis of the W810 apart from the cutting you mentioned? The housing you got seems to be of good quality, may I ask where you bought it from? Thanks!
