Hi If you have a bt dongle you will need a software like ivt bluesoleil or salling clicker. You will have the bt icon in control panel if you have a builtin bt, like dell's 6400

oh rite......
have you installed all the drivers correctly.
1 way to find out if its just ur windows is backup your C drive
format it
install the bluesoil n drivers and try
if it works its a windows problem and you now have it.
if it doesnt restore your backup and all is fine you havent lost anything other than time. |

well a suggestion....
you mind...try to disable windows xp native bluetooth drivers in order to have bluesoleil drivers as the only bluetooth drivers(just to prevent any conflict)...
to do so go to folder options and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" under View tab...
then go to windows folder--->inf folder ... rename these files : bth.inf , bth.PNF to bth.inf.old , bth.PNF.old..
if this didn't work,try to install other stacks such as widcomm

Try installing bluesoleil and it's components (drivers) for your dongle. Then remove these 2 devices from "Windows Device Manager":
Microsoft Bluetooth Radio
Bluetooth Enumerator... or something...
- and then restart your computer. Then see if this works properly. If not, you can try the same procedure with Widcomm Bluetooth drivers. They are far better than bluesoleil software in my opinion...
