My w900i keeps on telling me to insert a simcard,even though there already is one in.what seems to be the problem,how can i get this fixed?

GDFS...did you flash it with the sim card in?

sounds like your gonna need to take it to service centre...unless you backed your own GDFS up??

if you did nothing with the phone, should be able to get it fixed under warranty...if its still got it

i havent flashed my phone before,so its still under warranty,which ends in about 6 months time...It was in my pocket and when i took it out to see the time,instead i was greeted by the ''insert sim'' sign...thanks for the reply,whats GDFS though?seems like i'll have to take it in...

i faced that problem few times with my old k300. i used to take it out for a minute and then put it back. the other day i faced the same, now with my k750. i did the same and it solved it.

if you've done what i've done with no positive results, you should use your warranty.

ps. clean your pin connectors and sim card too

Thanks for the advice,i cleaned the pin connectors and simcard.now everything is fine,it works...thanks again.

glad you sorted it. you may have never removed your sim card before.

ah i remember an old sim card doing this with scratched contacts....although GDFS thingy is common after modding SE's

and GDFS is where your phone contains all user data like lock codes..network lock etc

i've modded my phone and ive never seen this issue. is the same with phones DB2010 or is just with DB2020?
