I would like to buy M2 cards of 4GB for my phone (k800i) and my wife's phone (Z610i)...
I did some research here and i found a threat where it seems possible to use those 4GB cards with a K800i.

But nothing about the Z610i... both phone are only 2GB compatible if you believe what SE says (but no one believe them ).
For the K800i we allready know that it's not a problem to use bigger one (sure or not????) but what about the Z610i?
THX for your good advices

Well, you first buy the m2 for the k800 and test it with the z610 and whether it works or not, you will know what to do. I think it will work without any problem though.

To the best of my knowledge, the Z610 is compatible.

Whitepaper says only what is available at that time the phone hits the marked and whats available of the memory cards.

I use a Im application alot and I found that with a 2GB M2 I lose the connection but if I remove the card, I never get disconnected.

Just a note to be wary of and to back up JK's post, I've got a 4GB card in my k800i. I have MGmaps with over 1GB of Google Map data (hundreds of folders).
With the card out of my phone, it takes 13 seconds to get to the "welcome to orange" screen. With the card in it takes 63 seconds!!!! *Edit - now I gave over 2GB and it takes 2 mins 30 seconds to load and frequently freezes*
Also, the music player can't find the albums i have on there, I have to go into the memory card and play from there. To be fair, I have wma tracks at Lossless, meaning some are 30mb per song! These songs won't play either, I guess they are too big to be cached into the phone?
Either way, I guess the 2GB that they where designed to take work fine, but anything over that, the phone might get "confused" at times.
