So, what's new in R2B ??? |

Currently I have 2 T68 phones, one with R2A software and the other with R2B so I dedided to do a little comparison for you.
The games are the most obvious change.
Tetris is out:(
The list of games in R2A:
1.Erix
2.GAME
3.Q
4.Ripple
5.Solitare
6.Tetris
The Game list on R2B:
1.Arimona - Looks just like Arizona in R2A
2.Contrary - The same game as Ripple in R2A, but with a different title.
3.Erix
4.Four Piles
5.Naval Fleet
6.North Territory
7.Q
8.Youkon Struggle
What I can gather is that the Solitare menu has been removed and the Solitare games are now in the main menu.
I tested the Naval Fleet game, both in Multiplayer mode via Bluetooth and single player. It worked well, looks good and was soo much fun! Even more fun than Snake was on my old 6110! I'd say it's an ok replacement for Tetris, but still I must say I regret removed it.
The hidden Snake is still in, appears by pressing 789 in Erix, while the graphic is appearing, the Block game is in, if you press 3*5. The Ripple trix still works, going in to the game and pressing 4456 will launch a Card Game.
Tetris is not included in this sofware so I guess the easter eggs hidden in it is also gone.
Now I haven't noticed anything else that has changed. Something tells me the phone works faster and GPRS and Email handling has been improved, but the most obvious change is in the Games menu.
Now I konw you must pay for using Tetris, because it is licensed. Maybe that's why Tetris is out? The sad part is that the T68 Tetris was really good... you didn't need to turn the phone sideways to play it and the color added fun to it.

I agree with you Merkur,I have R2B too and what you said is what I got with the upgrade.
I think that Ericsson, wanted to give us something NEW but not yet MMS as it is not supported for all Operators. I was think that the shouldŽve included the PhotoAlbum Feature as well as the option to Save or Remove more that one Background.
The MMS upgrade should be out by March- April. This means that the week 10 info is true. I asked today to a Venezuelan Sonyericsson CEO and he said that the info is that the MMS upgrade should be available in MARCH or APRIL.

You said Contrary is in, that means Ripple just changed the name, and is still in. |

That's true. I fixed the article so now this has been corrected.
I find it strange not to find other things than just the games. There have to be some big improvements for :se: to come out with a new SW version? |

If they removed TETRIS because they have to pay for it...... Why T28,T29,T39 still have it???????

They might have a contract that only permits them to use Tetris in phones for a certain period of time. Maybe the Tetris time is up?
I know Benefon had Tetris in their IO and they had to remove it later cause they hadn't made a contract on using it. |

Ericsson are doing well here! They are generating free advertising by launching upgrades often and making people talk about ericsson products all the time!

I would like to believe that Ericsson has been using the time to improve the many things that may be improved in the phones. The MMS upgrade is a great "excuse" to get everyone to bring their phone in to the shop to have it upgraded.
However, the excitment about MMS has brought some life to forums like Esato who's topic is Ericsson phones. This is just the thing they needed. |

IŽll think IŽll wait for the MMS... That is the final SW for SonyEricsson T68.
It is just 3 (?) weeks left so... just wait!

Look they should of added the Themes and background picture larger memory option though the mms would of been useless due to no mms network support thats why there is a stall
