Peter do you find that the headphone volume is not very high even on the highest setting?

How can a non wired bluetooth headset produce more volume than wired headset.??The Se walkmans with nice volumes were w700,w800.
After using w800 all se walkmans phones of today look C**p.Could u please elaborate on ur statement please?

IF so then i would be ready to buy w960.All latest walkman have disappointing and very low sound quality.

hi mate

I own theses Phones
W700, W810, W850, W880 and W910

the Sound quality from the wired headset hpm-70 goes from the Best to worst in the Sony Ericsson
I swear W910 Wired headset is so bad in term of loudness and quality

I buy Motorola S9 A2DP headset and the sound bass and Loudness Extremely AWESOME
BTW in W910 the Equalizer has an effect on the A2DP Sound Profile

I also tried HBH-DS970 and HBH-DS220 on W910
and I get the same result AWESOME Loudness and Bass at the Same time

Would you recommend this to replace my k800?

compared to the K800 its a different ball game to be honest!

if you don't mind touchscreen then you may not have a problem, really it depends on what you need in a phone?

Prices here in the UK are around £200 second hand.

Hi Peter ! Thanks for the review! I have some questions.. I live in the U.S. and was wondering if you knew on the SE web page in the UK the phone says sim free. Does that mean unlocked and I can use my sim? Dont know what to send money wise since the currency is different! Looks like the phone is going cheaper there! I'm a girl just trying to see if she can save a buck! Love this phone!

@j.musser
The SE UK Shop has the W960i at £400, thats over $800!
You might want to consider buying from Plemix.com or timtechs.com. They both list the phone at around $500. Both are US sites and reliable from what I hear.

erazer007:

Well by video quality if you mean video play back then both are almost equal, and definitely look good, but w960i's video recording is not that good as it take 15fps in QVGA while n95 takes 30fps at VGA.

I would say, if camera is really important to you then w960i would not be that good.

But if you consider the sound, both n95 8gb and w960i have got almost equal volume from the speakers and i think w960 seems to be better in headphones(especially if u like more bass).
