K800i - No Audio |

Hey guys,
Only recently I've noticed that my K800i has stopped playing any kind of audio files. I don't play music on my phone or watch movies but I realized that my phone wasn't playing ringtones, only vibrating. I played the sample video clip on the phone and all the various ringtones that are bundled with it (including midi, 3gp and mp3) but none of them will work. I can call and talk to people/hear them but no audio files will play! I haven't done anything with my phone to warrant this behaviour - I even tried to do a master reset and also update it on SEUS but neither did that work.
I'm really puzzled here as to what to do :S Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
p.s- and yes, my phone isn't set to silent, haha! |

well, go to menu, settings and the select the audio tab. later set the Ring Volume to more than 1.
hope this helps.
you'd propably has some kind of profile that set your phone to mute.

Yeah, my ring volume and my music volume are all set high but nothing will still work - and those settings would've been resetted when I performed a master reset anyway. I'm absolutely puzzled as to why audio files won't play anymore! |

reading well your first post, it seems that your speaker might have problems. you can get it replaced as you said youre under warranty.

The problem is audio files still won't play, even with my headphones in - and I can hear people perfectly on the speaker when making a call - it just doesn't make any sense to me? I figured it was a firmware issue - and I was deliberating on whether to buy a Wotanserver credit or not; but SEUS didn't make it any better. |

oohhh i see. even with your headphones. so it is a firmware issue indeed. i suggest that you flash your phone via wotan. it's safety and fast.

Before you do the flashing, why don't try to reinstal the acoustic driver.

No luck with the acoustic driver - would WotanServer be much more beneficial? |

I've finally solved the issue! Out of the two little bendy gold connectors that connect the speaker to the PCB; one was bent so that it wasn't making a connect - not sure why it was like that in the first place but I bent it back into position and it's now working! Headphones still won't work, I guess they were screwed anyway? Well, thanks a lot for the help guys |
