Ordered mine last week, did not even have to give a company name. You do have to register, just to place the order.
The only requirement is a valid credit card with enough credit

That one is a special case for the P800 to get programs developed for that phone. Under normal circumstances you need to be directly linked to SE in one way or another. You need to work for them, under them or know someone who does who is willing to give you one. Ie, you need to know that person very well.

What is the difference of ordering the phone from them or just waiting for it to come out? It seems that you get a lot of stuff with it. |

registration is immediately.
There were having problems with there site. After you ordered your Kit. it would update the page saying it was back ordered. I left a message with someone in tech support. They got back to me saying they usually ship the same day.
I ordered mine on Nov27th received it on Dec 4th. ( had a 2 day holiday here in the states and a weekend ).
This is a pre commercial phone. hardware should be the same as final, just an older version of the software and firmware. Hopefully this will be released once it goes public and we can upgrade our phones to final release.

IMHO .. it's not really worth it ... read from somewhere that the Opera browser is not included, numerous hangings (buggy) and of course the retail CD of softwares is also not included ... well, it's nice to have one though |

This phone is a full working phone unlocked, so any sim card will work.
The phone has only hung on me once. And I believe it was my fault, LOL pressing too many buttons at once. My T68I has hung more times.
If the final commercial phones are going to hit the store shelf's b4 xmas then I would weight. If it gets pushed back then you need to decide if you want one b4. You will be able to upgrade the phone when the commercial version is released
