symbion because if you look at windows, it is more about marketing than eas of use, if you want a future full of microsoft monopolised mobile products then go ahead & buy a SPV.

I disagree...I think that Microsoft will survive and provide great user experience. As much as some people HATE Microsoft, there is a reason as to why they are number 1. They deliver. I would avoid the first and second generation phones though. Microsoft usually gets it by the third try. Symbian's problem is that they have promised too much, and from what I have seen, they have delivered too little too late....maybe the P800 will change that, but that is still to be seen.

i don`t hate microsoft (i`m using microsoft now) my point was really just a fear of one company making everything because the lack of healthy competition can hold back progress, Nokia are already holding back from putting the latest stuff on phones,it extends the life of a model & increases profit, without the t68, Nokia might not have had to include colour screens & bluetooth so early, it`s a perfect example.

Yes, but that is not reason enough to assume that they will last longer. Just because they create competition (a good thing) does not mean they will remain as a viable force. I think that if anyone was to buy something that is well supported, and will see iterations into the future, then go with Microsoft over the Symbian OS. If you are daring (as I am) and have to try everything out then get the Symbian OS and see if you like it. I actually owned a Pocket PC Phone Edition...very cool, but definitely not there yet...hopefully the SPV is better, but from what I have heard in the reviews...not likely. Read a good review of the P800...it sounded ok...but it was still bulky. I still really like the T68i (except for its reception). There are really no serious options in the market today.

I couldn't agree more!
And that is despite the fact that I have had _a lot_ of problems with my precious T68 (and it's once again on repairs and here I'm sitting with a replacement N3210 ) . Despite this I find it by far the best and most well balanced phone I have tested. And for the PDA-functions I have a Palm m515 anyway

i want to choose smart phones because of they are good and i think they are future phone style because smart phones have smart things and they have OS( I think Microsoft will be win for programing OS but i don't want it because Microsoft will be prepare same as Pocket PC or Windows series) they have fantastic proporties but symbion will be dead when when smart phones will use everywhere. And this is true, symbion is populer now because we are new of this tecnology .

No way. M$ has no business being in the mobile phone industry. They will fail miserably. Symbian powered smartphones is the way to go, which all the big manufacturers already have realised!

Motorola has no business being in the industry either! ; ) you do realise that the 7650 and 3650 are \"smartphones\" too right? And the amount of symbian apps for these devices is overwhelming. Same as it will be for future symbian powered smartphones such as the p800 and the coming samsung, siemens and panasonic symbian smartphones.

No, if you read tecnology news, you will see Motorola's place that smart phones. In other way, Nokia use symbion software in strange ways but you will see, smart phones will be more excited than symbion phones (appz or java futures). In fact, symbion will be dead because it haven't future features.

? What are you talking about? What future features? Tell me one thing that a M$ powered smartphone can do, which a symbian powered smartphone can not do!?

Symbion is the now tecnology isn't it? But smart phones doesn't exactly born and smart phones likes pocket pcs (you will understand be read smart phones news) and pocket pcs have many features than symbion software this is true. so;

pocket pc's features + mobile phones features(GPRS-MMS-Java,etc)=Smart Phones
