It makes the whole dìff in the world!the 256 cs is crappy whereas the 65k cs can view perffct pics and mms!u might view everything as long as the phone provides the sw!the diff between the two is about the $

What was that all about ,you asked about 4096 not 256 did`nt you, although the sw point is correct, not every picture is going to need 65`000 colours to get the information across. if you look at a compaq pocket pc (65`000) remember that its a big screen (double p800) i think it`s not as impressive as it sounds on paper, 4096 is plenty on a screen up to 60mm x40mm. if i found i only had 4095 though,i would become very moody. |

I have a 7650 and the 4096 screen is amazing. A 64k screen may be slightly better but the most important thing to consider is the battery life. Batterys are simply not good enough to handle 64k screens yet, well not for an impressive amount of time anyway. That was the reason i went for 7650 and not the spv

Well heres the maths; 4096 is 16 times more than 256 & 65000(it`s a rounded up figure 65536 is the true number) is also 16 times bigger than 4096, BUT t68 screen is half the size of p800 & p800 is half the size of an ipaq, BUT the big differance (and the main reason 4096 is enough in my view) is that the actual number of pixels available on the screens of these devices limits the number of colours you can have on screen at any given time. so as a result a pic (taken in high resolution) viewed on a p800 will look about 5 times better than it did on a t68, but it won`t look 5 times better on a ipaq or spv than it does on the p800. smply because the pixel numbers are`nt going up in line with the colours. |

Take a look of some 3G devices from Samsung, they all have 65k LCD-TFT (Or TFD) Displays... Compare THAT to the T68's screen...
