Hey folks, I have someone who is having trouble getting reception within his house for his Blackberry - his reception is poor which means no gprs and no e-mails. Unfortunately the phone has to be on Vodafone although I don't think it would be any better on other networks.

It's a long time since I looked into home fit aerials, under the battery cover there looks to be an aerial socket (Blackberry is an 8707V I believe) - can anyone point me in the right direction of where to start?

I'm assuming the only real option is a sort of carkit for the house depending on what reception is currently available? I assume increasing the signal strength will assist both gprs and gsm reception if both are available?

Thanks for any help,
John

Our networks will install a booster in the customers house should their tests show the coverage is lacking, Im sure Vodafone does something similar.

Sadly they wouldn't do that here, we looked into it for the main factory where there is poor network reception but despite the fact the company is a massive Vodafone customer they were still looking for a lot of money to do it.
