Ok so I'm new to the world of T68i, what are the risk of upgrading your current software?

Don't do it yourself.

If you can, take it to a Sony Service Centre or a good mobile phone shop. Carphone Warehouse in the UK do it I think.

I have never had a phone flashed so I don't know....

I´ve had some ugly experiences, so I´d think about it first. Better yet, find out, if some of your friends have later fw than you and what they think about it. [addsig]

Welcome

Latest ver is R5D007

Most of the time when you upgrade it's no probs, but occasionally something goes wrong and setup, fonebook etc is gone.

You could use phone backup from Christersson
