I rang my local Orange shop [Hull,] for the last week or so and today and got all sorts of different stories! Not available for Orange and O2 blah blah blah!
When do you hope to collect it? I hear the Orange Oxford Street stores are likely to get it first?
I wonder whether to wait for O2 or get it on Orange. I also heard O2 got problems with the GD87.
Any opinions welcome!

There is a data suite on Expansys now... for £19-98 including VAT.
http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=MA-8310P
and also Car Phone Warehouse are advertising something similar but they do not give it a brand name for £29-99. It is simply called -
Panasonic GD87 USB Data Cable £29.99 on the CWP site.
and opinions on these packages!
thanks!

Can I ask the price Orange direct are selling for? I suppose it depends on what tariff though.
I think Orange Directs number is - 0500 802080

I bought my GD87 at the local orange shop in Hull on Saturday afternoon. First impressions are good but the mms isn't working well and some e-mails are returned with a message that says...

im thinking buying it or not.. wanna hear some comments and reviews from you guys.
Some quick idea I know from the phone.. (had used it from my friend)
1) TFT 65k color screen which is brighter and sharpper than samsung s100
2) digi cam is very ease of use, just like a real digital cam but resolution is only 128x134 something like that, even less than my t68i cam
3) picture caller id is too small.. only like 1/10 of the screen
4)the high price!!!!!!!
I really wanna know if it has java something.. that I can dl games.. app, etc.... I couldn't find any idea even from its offical web site
thanks in advance guys~

I have it for alsmot 2 days. What I can say is that the phone is excellent. Very fast and very good menu, everything seems to be in order, very user friendly.
The quality of the camera is very good for mms pics or pics stored in phone memory. It is true that resolution is small and it is not intented for downloading pics to pc. Although you can resize them up to 40% without loosing many things. However, it has wanderfull features, zoom, night vision, borders, filters etc. My opinion is that mobile cameras should be in that way. Although MCA-20 may has better resolution, I never achieved to use a downloaded picture since it is required daylight to have an acceptable result.
It has no Java, but panasonic offers downloadable games using IN FUSIO. I cannot help more on this since Vdafone in Greece is not offering this service yet.
Concluding, I am very happy with it. It has the best TFT available on mobiles, excellent menu, many nice features, very high quality (the best so far I ever seen on phones), logical size (if flip is closed is alsmot like t68), no problems using e-mails, MMS, or SMS, very good signal (better than t68) very good sound quality.
I would recomend it for any power user. |
