Got a 8 month old T68(m > i conversion).

In the last two months i've had a problem which has now got to the point of the phone being useless.

The signal strength keeps fluctuating between no bars and say 3-4 bars every so often.

I can't make calls, it just goes beep beep beep. no one can call me (diverts to voicemail).

I can be anywhere in the town. I can put my sim into another phone in the same location and its fine.

Is this a known problem? It's really driving me mad now

Cheers

and update to the latest (R5D007) firmware will probably stabilize the signal....

Same problem... for long time already. It only happens once in a while so its even more frustrating. I just took my phone in yesterday. All they did is realign my antenna. I can tell it is not helping at all after one day of use. And my warrenty is going to expire in half a month!!!

Hi there!

I am in the Uk, and on T-Mobile, and I also live in North London as well. Use to have a t68m which I had updated to a T68mi, and then regularly flashed with the latest software updates as soon as they came out.

After the software conversion, and after it had been flashed a couple of times, it use to happen to me on a regular basis as well, every three or four days and would last about two hours where the phone would pretty much just become useless (signal fluctuating, beep-beep-beep when trying to make a call, etc.). Never found out what the problem was, but assumed it was something to do with the newer software.

Anyways, got a 7650 now, but will be getting a P800 in January. I hope SE have fixed the problem, cause if the P800 does it as well I'm going to be pissed.
