On my P1 the photo button on the right side of the phone isn't locked by the app.. Is it a bug?

Just for info, I've been using the app for 24 hours now I haven't noticed any hit on the battery.

I left mine locked with this app overnight, and by morning I had a crash error dialogue (Kernel exceptipn 3) - hope this was a one off, as otherwise it's very usable.

Oh yes, and I find the web button is also active whilst locked, if it's pressed there is nothing registered on the screen, but as soon as I unlock it - there's the web homepage! I don't think this is a problem though, as it's not possible to blindly follow any links due to the fact that the main keypad/jogdial do not take any input..

No extra battery drain for me either btw.

Also, interesting to note about the camera bug - the auto focus is deactivated, but I can still take pictures, so it looks like the first stage of the camera button is locked, but not the seccond. The only way out of the camera app that I could find was to press the power button (which thankfully is also not blocked), and then press the onscreen back button. The camera does stay active behind the lock screen though.

Personally, I'd fix all the unwanted inputs apart from the power button, as it's pretty hard to press accidentaly, and useful if there's a problem.

An increase in battery drain could occur I would imagine when the phone is in a pocket for example...

The standard keylock system will only show the keylock/screenlock info when keys are pressed not when the screen is touched, and also the screen displays at low light level.

BUT whenever keys are pressed or *the screen is touched* with the iPhoneUnlock the screen is displayed at full brightness as far as I can see...

So I could see that there might be more inadvertant screen activation with the system... How much power that would drain I don't know!

As regards the camera app - I found that I could take pics too and agree that the auto focus square does not appear... but I found that using the 'back button' on the LHS returned me to the iPhoneUnlock screen - so quite handy for a quick 'photo opportunity' LOL

I've just noticed something else too - when the phone is locked, then put on charge, the battery indicator doesn't animate. If you then unlock it, it's working normally underneath. Not really a problem, just a geeky curiosity...

It's a cool idea. How long I'll keep it for, I don't know. [addsig]

Yeah, the status bar at the top had to be recreated for some reason.
At the moment, you can only see the signal strenght and the battery icon.
You won't see the little envelope or the missed call icons unless you unlock the phone.

the status bar should have been left transparent so you could see the 'normal' one. I'll try and change the background picture with a transparent one to see if it allows you to see the normal status bar.

I'll report later.

I did have a go at that yesterday - don't know if I was using the wrong format of picture, possibly the wrong colour depth, but it distorted the colours of all the overlays above the background image. So I'd keep your original .mbm somewhere if I were you.

Could someone registered put the file up somewhere? I really don't want to register just to get it...

Edit: found a login on BugMeNot.com.

All right follow up on the beta 3

I'm currently trying the new beta.
For some reason, the lock doesn't start as soon as you click on the shortcut.
It locks 30 seconds after I think.

And the only background I get is a grey Iphone background.
I have tried messing around with the ini file but it doesn't seem to do anything.

I wish I could use my current theme background.

And it would seem the slider behaves differently in this version.
It is now a bit harder to unlock because the screen of the P1 is not flushed in the body like the W960 so you finger hit the edge of the screen before the phone is unlocked. To the developper I think the way it was implemented in the previous version was better.

Anyone getting luckier with the ini file?

EDIT: I just notice the phone locks automatically now after an idle time.

The lock screen still lights up when you press screen or any key and you can still take a pic when the phone is locked

Which is the correct file? There are 2 on that link; one in the first post and one a bit further down. [addsig]

I have tried the second one.
It works ok.
Maybe I should give a go to the first one?
