Hey guys

Thought this might interest alot of you.

I went on a Data Training course on Wednesday, and when I (and everyone else) asked what O2 are going to do to beat the competition on their unlimited tariffs she kinda rolled her eyes in the "ffs I've heard this 1000 times" look lol, and then told us this:

O2 are planning TWO new data tariffs that will blow the existing ones out of the water. They won't be QUITE as good as the Web 'n' Walk or X-Series ones, but will be close enough and will help O2 use them to combat the competitors in that aspect of their tariffs.

I'm estimating something like £10 for x-ammount of data or £15 for unlimited, but don't quote me on that.

Best bit is, it's soon, she said Q4, which starts in October, so her words were "1st October is a possibility".
My opinions on this forum are that of my own and not of the company I work for.

Hi all,

I seem to remember all this being said before by both 02 and VodaFone and was wholly unimpressed by both companies new tariffs. But i suppose only time will tell, but even if what you are saying is right that still makes them nearly twice as expensive as what is available which IMO is hardly blowing the competition out of the water is it? in fact it's still not even close.

Marc

The current plans changes for when they are to be released are as follows

£7.50 for 250mb (You will get a sms/email after 200mb of use to pre warn you that you only have 50mb left to use before you are charged
or
£30 for 3.5gb

You can use the data on anything as far as im aware.

You can purchase a seperate £30 tarrif i you just want to use data, but both of the tarrifs can be added on to the paymonthly tarrif.

** The above is still subjet to change **

** Just to Add on the above and for you to compare networks **
Browsing packs by network.

Orange:
£8 = 30mb for Web and Wap Browsing. Over this its charged £1 per mb
Voip/Peer to peer can currenlty be used however this is subject to change and availability.

Vodafone :
£7.50 = 120mb of Web and Wap Browsing. Over this its charged £1 per mb
Voip/Peer to peer is not included and charged seperatly at £2.00 per mb.

O2:
**New Tarrif when released**
£7.50 = 250mb Of Web and Wap Browsing over this its charged £3 per mb
Voip/Peer to Peer is currenlty included.
£30 = 3.5gb of Data
Voip/Peer to Peer is currenlty included.

T-Mobile (Web N Walk / Web N Walk Plus / Web N Walk Max)
£7.50 = ** Unlimited mb (Subject to about 1gb monthly usage)
No to Voip / Peer to Peer (Not included in the above plan)

£12.50 = ** Unlimited mb (Subject to about 3gb monthly usage)
No to Voip / Peer to Peer (Not included in the above plan) However You can use Instant Messaging

£17.50 = ** Unlimited mb (Subject to about 10gb monthly usage)
Every thing is included

3 is a little more complicated.
However If you dont have unlimited access with your currnet tariff, you can add it for £5.00 per month or £2.50 for 10mb
There are more options and depending on your Tariff which one you can and cant have. You will need to speak to 3 for more info or visit there website
http://www.three.co.uk/personal/products_services_/add-ons.omp

Hope all the above hlps and make sense

** The New O2 GPRS is still subject to change **

But its a start and getting better,

They have changed the data twice so for this year (Including this one)

So given that, I think we may see something again prob early or middle of next year.

Only time will tell.

If people use the 250mb tariff then o2 may introduce a £10 for 1gb?

Do 02 online take email complaints thru there normal Customer Services email addresses do you know Daedulas hasn't mentioned this in the other thread, I know some of the replys which I have made to 02 via email before are pointless but would they take my email under arms if I complained that way

Yeah please let us know if you know anything regarding the date of data changes from next month I can leave them November 23rd so they have until then to make a few changes otherwise i'll leave!

You can complain via email and you will get a reply.

However I would phone them and speak to them direct. or you could even write to them and let them know.
